New Development Group Taking invites.

Hi All

Some you may have noticed a new social group that I created the other day ( NamePros.Com ).

Well I can now announce that I will be taking invitations for this new venture.

How Does This Work

The group will consist of around 5 people (size depends on sites being developed). Each member would have a specialist field (i.e. web design, asset design, php developers, content writers etc.).

Each member would have a domain that they wish to have developed. Each member would work their magic on their own domain as well as on the other members sites.

The end result would be that everyone would have a fully developed site.

Your Commitment

Due to the nature of this venture you must be fully committed to completing the projects. If you decide to sell your own domain prior to your site being finished you will still have an obligation to completing your side of the bargain.

Possible Questions

I don't have a domain to devleop at the moment have I missed out?

• No, what I am planning to do is once each set of sites is complete the current members have the option to leave or stay. Those that leave will be replaced.

How will we collaborate to create the sites?

• We will be utilising the social group feature to discuss the projects (non members cannot see the discussions). I will create accounts on a server so that we can develop on a live environment. SVN will not be utilised at this stage.

What if a dispute occurs?

• Any dispute will be dealt with collectively by the group. Everything will be done democratically if possible.

What sort of sites can we submit?

• At the moment only smaller projects will be considered. As time moves on we will be expanding to larger projects (and adjusting members as necessary)

Who owns the design, images, PHP and any other content?

• Once all sites are complete ownership of all assets for the sites are transferred to the domain owners.

What responsibilities do I have after the sites are complete as a PHP developer/designer/content writer?

• All sites will be checked and confirmed complete at the end of the project. If everything has been signed off you no longer have any responsibilities over the site (except your own of course). If the domain owner wishes more work to be carried out they will have to approach you in the normal manner when looking for work to be carried out.

What Do I Need To Provide When Applying

When posting your application please provide the following

1. What skills you have and are applying to full fill (posting other skills may help as well but make it clear which is your primary skill).
2. Your level of experience.
3. Examples of your work.
4. The domain that will be submitted for development.
5. Your plans for the development of that domain.

If the details of the domain and development are sensitive feel free to PM those details to me.

Are you looking for experienced developers only?
I am studying at Uni and have been doing html/css/php for a few years, with some sql. However I would not call myself 'professional'.

Or are you also looking for people who wish to get into projects to aid their skills and help them learn/develop themselves

The more experienced the better but all will be considered.

Your best bet would be to post some example of what you have done and we can see what you are capable of.

I like the idea of 1 site per member, but feasibility will need to be discussed.

Also, maybe we can offer development only for high value names... might work better.

Unfortunately as there has only been 2 responses this idea seems to have flaked.

Thanks to those who expressed interest but with only 2 people interested the idea will not work.
