thanks, I wasnt happy with the reviews of the last design let me know about this one.

Looks better than the last one. However, the top of the page (the circle logos) are cut off.
The site feels somehow not complete, there is that "punch" missing, that one element that draws me into it. While the RSS feeds are ok, there's just not much "meat" there.
A minor adjustment, bring the calender below the registration/login.

On the positive side, when the site is scrolled, the backdrop remains static.

I agree, the trail of circles header graphic looks half done but overall the site looks clean and simple. Cluttered sites really make my head spin.

Absence of too many ads is also a good thing

I agree the header position looks more like a design mistake than a bit of cool design.
