New device proposed for airport screening and security sees thru clothes:

I'd rather use profiling than see this sort of device being used for everyone.. seems a bit excessive, not to mention a real invasion of personal privacy.

Another example of post-9/11 paranoia, IMO...

When I came out to the midwest, I came by bus.. at the major bus terminals, we had to wait in long lines while security gave our belongings the once-over. Needless to say, they were understaffed, unprofessional, and didn't check everyone or everything.. but I'm thinking it won't be long before we start seeing troops patrolling American streets under the guise of Homeland Security. Hopefully it will never come to that.
