I crawled all over the NetSol website but couldn't find an answer to this question. In the back of my mind I have some feeling that NetSol have the same 60 day hold policy like GoDaddy when the Registrant Info changes. Can anyone confirm or deny that?

Yes, I believe that is correct from what I remember. I really haven't used them in ages.

SCHEDULE A TO NETWORK SOLUTIONS SERVICE AGREEMENT

ADDITIONAL TERMS APPLICABLE TO REGISTRANTS OF DOMAIN NAMES

You agree that you may not transfer your domain name registration to another domain name registrar during the first sixty (60) days from the effective date of your initial domain name registration with us. In addition, you agree that you may not transfer your domain registration to another domain name registrar for sixty (60) days after there has been a change in your Primary Contact information or WHOIS Administrative Contact information for your account(s).
It seems they're still doing that inspite of ICANN's recent advisory. Or maybe
they've already changed that policy, but haven't gotten around to editing it?

Yeah. I bought a domain from someone who gave me their account. I had to change that information to my own in order to make the transfer. So I guess it's now locked for 60 days :( When I raised a support ticked, they replied with the "suspicious activity" remark and want me to phone them. I don't see that I need to make an inconvenient international phonecall just to be told it's locked for 60 days because I changed something. Thanks. It's pointing to my nameservers for now.

Can anything be done?

Isn't it possible to file a complaint against this behavior? If this is clearly against ICANN's rules, there has to be someone who will listen.

Did you ask the registrar that you're transferring to for any help? If they want your business, I'd imagine they'd give any advice that they can, or at worst, tell you it's out of their hands.

Sheesh, that kind of weh-weh-weh song is playing in my head. Catch 22.

From personal experience, I can tell you netsol does allow you to transfer out a name that was pushed to your netsol account from another netsol account, after only a few days. Just did it myself. Do they always allow it? I don't know.
