Yesterday I received an email asking if I wanted to sell my Las-Vegas dot me and what price I wanted for it. After doing some research I found that the offer came from a website design and ecommerce company with an annual rev. of about $420,000 (I'm not sure if that's big or small for that type of company).

I responded back saying that he's more than welcome to make an offer and he came back with $200. Being that LasVegas dot me is now at $15,000 in auction, I felt I could get more and responded back mentioning that particular auction and that I'm looking for offers in the low $XXXX range. He then responded back with a slightly "snippy" tone saying that HE is the one who drove up the price in that auction and that they are "two different things" and his price is now $500.

I have a feeling he went as high as he could for the non hyphened version, got outbid, and is now turning to me for the hyphened version. Now I'm kind of stuck because I really don't know what to do. .me's are totally new and no one has any idea of what pricing should be, but yet the non hyphened version of my name is already pretty high in price. Should I just take the $500? I'm curious to hear what others would do.

i'm not a big fan of the .me extension, but i think you could get more than $500 in this case and i think you might be able to break the 4-digit mark. they might be "two different things" but it's worth more than 3% of the non-hyphenated version.
