Front running is one of the major problems in our industry where genuine investors ended up with paying more at the auctions as I paid $184 USD for jefferygroup.com domain name and it was offered to jefferygroup.net owner for less than 1000 USD but I was not aware of it and I went with a bidding war and won the auction.

Later I had a discussion with jefferygroup.net owner and he mentioned that 3 people contacted him for the same during the auction.
I would have been got it for 69 USD!

I was bidding on coinsociety.com auction recently (auction ended on 17th March 2019) and I own coinsociety.org
I got a mail from front runner during the 3-day private auction and it was offered to me. I have started negotiating with him without mentioning that I was bidding on that auction.

Here is the complete negotiation mail for your reference

If you put that in the contact form on the website I am sure they can organize Escrow.com to be the payment gateway.

Can I expect some room for negotiations? How long does it take to have ownership?

^ Why would they? Seriously.. think about it.

Forget about why would they? How could they? I am not cheerleading for NameJet and I think there are things they can do better. I have never engaged in front running, but how could NameJet stop it.

So Goodtreats.com is expired on NameJet (hypothetical example), a human being decides to hit Google, corp directories, etc... Starts asking them if they would be interested in purchasing the name? How can NameJet prevent that? What legal standing would NameJet have if they knew about it? which in cases where the front runner doesn't also email domain investors like in the coinsociety case would be less than 1% in my estimation.

Do we all know right now who is contacting businesses that have no understanding of NameJet/GoDaddy auctions? Plenty of people are probably out there sending off emails trying to get a bid.

Isn’t markmon the handle for level 2 aka Hof Steen

It has nothing to do with the IP registration company. I would think he puts himself at a disadvantage with the name, more targets, or maybe he thinks he can get semi transparent TM names without competition.

These are the people emailing leads for domains on auctions at lower pricing pre buy, ruining it for the poor sap who overpays, and then has his target market disrupted with phony pricing.

any idea about namejet user 'corplaw'?

Very active, in all my recent auctions. Just takes 1 to bid up. I've always wondered what if somebody like Bill Gates came into these auctions. He could really troll the hell out of the whole domain community. Just come in and own anybody. But this stuff is peanuts to them.
