Need someone to help revamp website

Hi,
I am wanting to change the format of our website (racerxmoto). I had it designed a few months ago and it was done in phpnuke. The problem is I can't work with the program, I don't know how to edit it (or it is too complicated) and I certainly don't understand how to add to it, or change anything, so instead of having to try and learn php myself, or having to contact the webdesigner everytime I need to change or add something, I guess it would be best to just scrap it and redo the site with something I can learn....and something that is easy for the novice to edit, add to , change, etc...So, I am looking for a designer who can help me with that, help me choose something I can actually work with and something easy to keep the site updated and current, not a whole lot of computer knowledge (php,sql,design,html,etc...) neccessary. I know a small amount of certain programs,etc...but not enough to be comfortable. I hope this makes sense. Oh, there is one thing I would like to keep if possible, we have a short flash intro page, I really like this and would like it to remain, is this possible if I change the site format from phpnuke? P.S. The site is racerxmoto It is a motocross website and sort of a personal bio page for my son who competes in motocross. Just for some background info on what the site is about. don't get me wrong but actually phpnuke simplifies your online task of content input on your site. but I might agree the designer (for lack of time maybe) is not that detailed on the instructions as well.

:imho: my advise is keep the phpnuke on your site it looks good on it and in the meantime for a short term (depending on how fast you learn a task for you said you learn quickly) hire an effective phpnuke person that will be your contact person in between technicalities required by phpnuke and you, and at the same time be willing to set apart like an hour or 2 to teach you with snapshots.

i can also handle the inputs and tutorial for you as well, just pm me if you're interested. the beauty of phpnuke is it will let me do it at the same you do it, because once i input content (to your liking as well) or someone here all you have to do is approve or trash it, so you have a good backend that is the phpnuke. HTH

Dang php nuke has a lot of mods installed with it.....heh Took about 3 minutes to load on broadband.....hope you plan on changing the colors...those red and blacks are very distracting. good luck to your boy. my son starts karting this year

P.S. Maybe you otta think about a standard phpbb forum and just add in the mods you need....may load faster for you. By the way, the intro has nothing to do with phpnuke so you can add it to anything you want.
