Need Some help

Well I recently started an directory site www.NPLinks.com (In no way associated with RJ or NP.). Then I had some problems and now am back. Now I need some help with the SEO.


I need Default META keywords, and Default META description, because im not good with these things it would be greatlly appreciated if anyone helps.

The meta keywords tag is no longer used by any search engine that I am aware of because of keyword stuffing. Some still include them but I choose not to.

The meta description tag is what is displayed in search engine results right under the link to your website. While I don't believe this is used by the SE for ranking it does however give a brief description of what your site is about. Use keywords in your description but don't overdue it or make it look spammy. Below is a sample meta description that I wrote for a cancer related website that I created.

<META NAME="description" CONTENT="Dedicated to providing essential up-to-date cancer information to aid in the effort of increasing cancer awareness and to help those who face this disease.">

I think SE's display approx. 160 characters including spaces so use every last character if you can.
