need small mysql server hosted

I'm tired of paying $10.95 for my dreamhost web hosting for my blog, which is the regular price after my first promotional year expired. I'm looking at some other free/cheap hosting, but the problem is, the php performance sucks on most of those hosts.

I would like to borrow one mysql database slot on someone's hosting account on a reliable host, such as lunarpages or hostgator. It will only be a few mb, and it will not use a significant amount of system resources, because I usually get under 100 visitors per day.

I will pay a small amount for this service, about $1 or 50NP per month.

Thanks, but I'm not looking for a full hosting plan. I just want one mysql database, and I want it on a reliable big host. And your storage and bandwidth on your $2 plans are not enough for me.

Our UQ-S.5 offers 500MB Disk and 5GB Bandwidth.
Our UQ-S1 (the $2 plan you referenced) offers 1GB disk and 10GB Bandwidth.

Do you know your average disk and bandwidth utilization and expected growth rate? If you were able to provide that, UQ and others here may be able to provide you with better options.

No, I'm not interested. I don't want to host my site anywhere else, I just want a database that I can remotely access. I want the a database on a large reliable host, such as one of the two I mentioned. If I were to buy your hosting plan, I might as well just stick with the one I have right now that was even cheaper.

I do not think you'll find many hosts that allow external sql. I believe you will find that hostgator and other unlimited hosts forbid external sql. You should consider consolidating your site on 1 server.

If you need free web hosting visit FWS or freeWHT. As for the paid web hosting I believe that you have fair price enough to search another solution
