Have a mindset that may opportune a buyer to a domain name that you would be proud to build on no matter the extension. Being said, I wouldn't take your portfolio even if you offered it for free. I said ''for the first 2 years'', if you can read. I have lots of non dot com myself. Once you learn what to buy and what's not in com, you can figure out other tlds, but not earlier.
