Need quick "country site"

I have acquired a very valuable name which would work for providing information, multimedia, travel info, or anything about the country. I want to create a quickie web site for it so I can trademark the name. Can anyone offer any suggestions for a script of cobranded site that would get something going very quickly. Then, later, I can work on creating a rally good site for it.

why do you need a quickie web site to ge the trademark?

You cannot trademark a term unless you are using the term. Since my domain name equals the term, I should start using the term in commerce on that domain name.

weird. I just registered a tm in europe and I am not using it yet.
at the same time if that TM is not reg yet and you own the domain you should be ok. Even if someone reg. it they have no rights for the domain you own. Out of curiosity where are you registering it. I am also considering registering a TM in the states.

Maybe Europe is different. Not htat way in the US. Although I believe you can pay $100 more if you agree to use the mark in commerce in six months, and then prove it to them.

Would it work to install wordpress and make a few blog posts about your plans for the site?

wordpress idea should definetely work. Its simple and easy to do.
