DailyAirfares.com development question

I own DailyAirfares.com (and GetFares.com). I'm looking at various ideas for development.

Idea #1: Create a simple site that shows special airfare deals from the RSS feeds by Priceline, Orbitz and other players. Add Google Adense ads down the sidebar and banner ads where I can. Real simple to do.

Idea#2: Create a site-branded travel site like I can do from Travelocity's World Choice Travel (http://www.wctravel.com/). Focus the front page on best/last minute deals. Affiliate income but I don't think I can add advertising.

Any comments or suggestions would be much appreciated!

I like idea #1 better, simple to implement, and just watch the money come in as you advertise.

I agree, idea #1 sounds much better than the other one. The concept is more suitable and relevant to the domain name and most important you can place ads on your site.

Speaking of creating a site that displays feeds, I use Geckotribe's Carp Evolution , results of which can be seen on my http://www.altenergytoday.com web site. It's powerful, but the documentation is really tough and the parser is really strict, which doesn't always work for all feeds.

Can anyone recommend another RSS Parser that they like?
