Ok people, don't be shocked about the length of my post.

First i give you my own thoughts/reasearch/infos to make it easier and then i need an "EXPERT" to comment and appraise.

Please don't post something like "imo $.." without mentioning any reason for this DN. I can't do anything with that.

I need reasoned opinions on this Domain Name from experienced Domainers please (as i already have been contacted through a potential buyer immediately after owning the DN ).

Maybe from someone who has experience and sales in this Area (or has similar DNs). Thank you and highly appreciated!

IMO, this is an extremely valuable and future-proof Generic Domain Name.

Personally, i don't think that the Hypthen and the .info extension make it more or less valueless comparable to many other DNs.

Please spare me 2 minutes and read the details.

This is a relatively new Market. I think prepaid credit cards are available since 4 or 5 years (i am not sure)

As maybe some of you know, the next crisis is the Credit Card Crisis.

Unfortunately millions of people won't be able to pay back their credit card debts.

The CC Companies will withdraw normal Credit cards from many people and won't give normal CCs to new customers that easy anymore.

Furthermore many people are scared to use their normal credit cards in internet.

One solution is: prepaid credit card

(You can do everything with them just like the normal CCs BUT you have to charge it with money, NO DEBTS!). It has a fixed yearly cost of about $30 - $50 for the usage. Thats it.

I own one prepaid VISA creditcard myself. Because i was always scared to use normal credit card on internet and because this way i have good overview on my financial situation.

So whenever i want to buy something online, etc. i fill it up with necessary amount of money and pay throught it (or book Hotel, etc.)

- Now have a look at the taken Domain Names (i don't mention the ones without Hyphen!, obviously taken) :

The problem with doing a valuation on your own domain name is that you fail to really consider the negative side of your domain name.

The .info TLD has long been a 2nd-3rd class of gTLD. Its not widely used, especially by business. Typically these domains are developed as mini-sites. Is the keyword great? Sure - lots of people buy pre-paid credit cards (I have many myself that I use for online purchases through less then trustworthy vendors).

However - because of the likely end-user, what kind of money would be spent to acquire this domain name? (A Hyphenated .info).

Frankly - I think you'd be fortunate to get low $xxx. If you have an interested party - your best bet is to get him to make your starting offer - and work it up from there. But frankly, this isnt a domain name I would ever even register. Good luck.

Who would be your end user?

Companys with money are not going to use a hypen info

your most likely end user is a seo guy on the cheap

most people would not want a card from a hypen info website, which would leave this as an "information" website

plus i think pural is better with this

the dot net version redirects to a casino

Hyphens and .info extension hurts its value.

.info is a crappy extension. Tell me any genuine credit cards site using .info extension in their domain name.

You made 1 page writing about ur domain name... but you never considered its negative side...

No company will choose domain like this.

As you have stated, you have been already contacted with potential buyer, i would suggest go for it and sell it...

@Spade, thank you. Of course i prefer to see the positive side of my own Domain Names and fade out the negative side if there are any (thats only human!). Thats why we need opinions from other Domainers and thats why i requested Appraisals
from others. So thank you for pointing out the negative aspects. Really helpful.
I received an offer MID $xx. I don't know who he is.
I will try to get high $xx, low $xxx. Lets see what happens.
I registered the DN for 1$, so its all good.
