Need hosting help

Hi,

I've read some threads related to free hosting, but haven't found what I'm looking for. I want hosting that allows me to install Joomla CMS and also allows me muliple add on domains. Is there a free host out there that can do this? OR is there a cheap host that can do this?

If you are starting it out, you won't need much space/bw.. also Joomla should be supported by most of hosts with one-click installer.

What's your exact budget on this?

godaddy's deluxe shared plan is about $6-7 a month, allows unlimited domains and you can install joomla very easily using their metropolis panel.

apthost.com is about $6 a month, allows unlimited domains and you can install joomla via cpanel/fantastico deluxe

What would you define as cheap? The problem with a free host is that it costs to host all of this and odds are they're not going to make a whole lot of money off of people hosting their Joomla websites.

Best to pay that ~$10/month and know your host is going to be there and running each day.

Majority of free hosting providers will refuse Joomla as well...
Common reasons:
1) php configuration setuped for safe use and Joomla will unable to work properly
2) Joomla may involve high resource usage

A free host may not allow you to do it; however, any paid host should allow you too. Lunarpages, deamhost, site5, etc. should all allow theses.

I use www.mainvista.com they are neat and have good backups etc. and they are FREE

a2hosting.com provides joomla, as well as mambo open source. There are also cheap CMS plans from webhostingbuzz.com

Most free hosts out there provide Fantastico which Joomla and Mambo are featured, but as SharedRack stated above it's highly resource intensive. So be careful.

Before I got into paid hosting I always used awardspace.com . It's very good as free service.

You may get a few dollar plans from webhostingbuzz.com with Joomla included.

I would suggest you to spend a few $ rather than going with a free host. Thy will not give you a reliable service with these database driven websites.
So it depends upon your need. If you are looking for a reliable service, spend some bucks.

if you want free and you want to use joomla you can sign up to 000webhost.com this hosting is free. i already use this and they allow adult content and of course not proxy sites...

try them they are good!
