Need help with website

I want to build a simple but attractive site using a domain I purchased.

The domain is RudeStickers.com

I plan to sell bumper stickers and all other sorts of funny, rude and tasteless stickers with sayings and such

Any ideas??? I know I need a site, but I'm open to suggestions as to where to start with starting a site that offers a product... should I become an affiliate of another site to start???

You don't want an affiliate program. if your going to do that people'll just think "why don't i just go there instead"

Like all great ebay-ers you first buy something not yours and sell it on your site. to really make your website boom you would want custom stickers.

but thats later on.

it would be best to get a person to create a site for you if you are a noob at web design.

just give them an idea and they'd take care of the rest.

your name suggests that your products would be crude or politically incorrect wich is a pretty good commodity at the moment, making custom stickers is pretty easy and inexpensive and It would also be a fairly easy site to build.

I agree with the second poster, affiliating is not the way to go.

Actually if you don't want to carry inventory, deal with customers and handle your own support which can be very hectic ... then affiliate programs is the way to go. Many companies such as CJ.com, Amazon and others gives you an array of tools to use to market products.

if you don't want to go with affiliate programs then hire some in house staff that knows how to create designs on stickers or a sticker artist.
if not then sell to end users.

Yeah id get someone to design the stickers, then sell
them individually like tattoo web sites.

You will make more money ultimately by selling your own stock, however your overheads will be bigger and it will eat up a lot more of your time.
Affiliate programs are a good option if you would like to spread your time among many different projects.
