Need Help with MSN

hey guys, i tink i have a virus or something on my computer but everytime i try to login to my msn it doesnt work, so i download the newest version and install it, and it doesnt work, and no matter what version i install on my computer it doesnt work, and my msn does work because i logged onto www.e-messenger.com with it.

PLEASE HELP!

Do you have any virus protection on your system? If you do then make sure you update the definitions and do a full system scan. If it's a virus then it should pick it up if the files are up-to-date. :gl:

However if you don't have any protection on your computer then I'd recommend going to Symantec's Security Check and do a full system scan. Once you go to that link then click on Test your computer's exposure and then click "Start" for the Virus Detection test. It will take a little while depending on the speed of your system and how many files you have on there.

Also you can download an anti-spyware program as well such as Ad-Aware SE Personal Edition for free to check on any programs that may be running in the background. There's also Spybot Search & Destroy or Spyware Doctor 3.2 which are all pretty good programs.

i do have antivirus and i do a full scan on my computer once every 1-5 days. Most the time i get above 20 viruses every scan. my computer is so screwed up, iv tried many antiviruse programs and no matter what they all cant seem to get rid of the viruses permantly, they just keep comming back, i cant format my hard drive because i lost the installation for windows xp, so i have no clue what to do.

format computer, use a windows 98 disk or something then install your windows xp over that, if thats what you mean...you just have the xp upgradeable version?

and maybe buy a norton anti virus subscription or even download the trial version and scan your HD, clear them and uninstall it and then use FF and stay off downloading them pornos :P

Do you turn off restore before deleting the viruses?
Clean out ALL temp files, turn off restore, boot into safe mode
then run AV...
