Need Help with Domain History

I'm doing research for a domain industry article, which I will be posting next week, and I need the history of [Redacted], probably late 2010 and early 2011.

I'm not interested in the domain itself (currently deleted), just its history during that time frame. I know it was owned by a European company, but I'm looking for the owner directly after that company owner.

I have a free account at Domaintools, but if any of you have a paid account that includes such history searches for free, I'd be grateful.

By the way, I did do a search on the Wayback Machine, but that time period looks pretty scrubbed.

Please PM me the info.

Thanks!

UPDATE: Thanks, Eric Lyon!

if this article will get significant attention, consider using a discount code and buying that domain cheaply.

forward it to a domain sales site and sell it for a little bit more.

some domainer will buy it from you if it is cheap enough. :)

Thanks, Eric.

Sometimes the lack of info IS info! You'll know what I mean when you read your private message from me.

It's pretty specific in area that is not familiar to me.

I redacted the name in question, now that my question has been answered.

The former owner was a victim of a domain name hijack of this very name, so I decided to register it and give it back to him/her -- if it's desired. Otherwise, I'll just allow the name to expire in 2015.

I don't know why the name expired -- maybe the owner didn't want it (although he/she still owns the ccTLD of it), or maybe something happened to it again. I just don't know, but I thought it would be prudent to keep the name safe because next week it's going to be revealed again, along with the owner's identity (it's on another public forum).

In any case, I don't want my story to re-victimize the person, so I have the domain safely in my account and redirecting to his/her site. I plan to email this person and offer the name to him/her gratis and let him/her know about my story.

If someone squatted on this name, I'd be responsible, and my conscience couldn't allow that.

So now I'M the squatter, but I hope one with a good intentions.

BTW, I left my info public on this name.
