So, this script is supposed to grab expiring domain lists via a cron-job and import them into your database?
I'm assuming that the cron-jobs are running, since you're receiving email reports. What are the contents of the email reports you receive? Does it list statistics about what domains were found? Just want to confirm that the email report contains information that would suggest that expiring domains are being found.
Based on your description of the problem, I think that the most likely scenario is that either the script is failing to put data in your database or the script is failing to pull results from the database. I'm leaning towards the former.
The cause of this could be numerous things. I would suggest looking for an error_log file in the directory where the script is located. If it's there, it should contain a report of any errors that occurred during php script execution.
Another thing to check out would be your MySQL database. If you have access to PhpMyAdmin or another database panel, try taking a look at your database to see if there is anything in there. (If you don't have any MySQL administration tools at your disposal, give
phpMinAdmin a try)
Also, I would make sure that your script is configured properly to connect to your MySQL database. There's a chance it might be wrongly configured or that the mysql user/pass doesn't have permission to write to the database.
If none of that works, you might want to open a support ticket with the script's authors:

They should be familiar with the script and probably better suited to help you.
edit: I've taken a look at awal's database and it is empty. The script seems to be failing to add entries to the database.
edit2: I was able to manually add an entry to his database using the database information in his configuration file. Everything looks like it should work
