Hello NamePros Community,

I hope you are all doing well.

I would like some guidance regarding selling my domains through GoDaddy Auctions. I currently have a GoDaddy Auctions account that I use for buying domains, but I am unable to find the option to list my domains for sale through auction bidding.

All of my domains are currently registered with Dynadot, and some of them will expire in about 5–6 months. I would like to sell them before they expire.

Could anyone please guide me on:

1. How to list domains for auction on GoDaddy?
2. Whether I need to transfer my domains from Dynadot to GoDaddy first?
3. If there are any specific requirements to sell via bidding auction?

I would really appreciate any help or step-by-step guidance.

Thank you in advance for your support.

Best regards,

Godaddy discontinued their user auction option. They do have the user Buy Now listing.

Best regards,
Since GoDaddy no longer allows user-created auctions, here are platforms where you can still run bidding auctions:

1. NamePros Marketplace - You can start a 7-day public auction thread here. Just follow the auction rules carefully (start price, increments, end time format, etc.).

2. Atom.com – You can submit domains individually for auction consideration. If you want to list multiple domains, you can contact their support via chat and request bulk review & they are generally responsive and helpful.

3. Dynadot Auctions - Since your domains are already at Dynadot, this is the easiest option.
You can list them for auction directly without transferring.

4. Sav.com Auctions - Sav allows user auctions and sometimes has decent investor traffic for quick sales.

5. Flippa (optional) - More suited for developed domains, but auctions are possible.

6. Sedo.com - For a Direct Auction you may pay a fee (around ~$59) to start that specific type of auction & even if the domain does not sell and the fee is non-refundable. But You can list your domain as "Make Offer" When a buyer submits an offer that you are willing to accept then you select the option to "Push to Auction" then the buyer’s current offer becomes the starting bid (and the reserve price) for a 7-day public auction and since the first buyer is already legally committed to their offer so in this way you are guaranteed to sell the domain for at least that amount and If other bidders jump in then the price goes higher and there is no upfront fee so you end up paying the standard sales commission (typically 15%) once the auction concludes and the deal is finalized.

If your goal is a quick sale before expiry, investor-focused platforms like NamePros, Dynadot and Atom.com may work better than retail marketplaces.

@shyama Hope this helps you decide which auction route works best for your situation.
