Somehow I got on a list...and now it seems like every spammer in Asia is using my email address as their fake address to send spam. The problem is they are using a variation of my address as theirs, so any undeliverable spam comes back to me...into my catchall.

For example, if my address is [email protected], they use stuff like [email protected].

I've been looking at the IP addressed in Properties of outlook express, but wouldn't the email coming to me be considered 'returned" and show the IP of the poor guy who rejected it? Have sent mail to any "abuse" IP I can find.

Any ideas on how to stop this...or any ideas at all would be appreciated. I'm getting hundreds per day. Gotta stop it somehow.

You may consider setting a SPF record (www.openspf.org/) on your domain name.
It may at least help reduce the flow of bounced E-mail.

I ran into the same issue. For now the spammer moved on.

Could not help, just had to put :fail: for catch all.

Any help on this is appreciated.

Thanks

Haha. I haven't had exactly that problem, but I've been winning tons of fake lotteries lately. You get scam emails saying you won some Lottery in Norway and you didn't have to enter because your email was in their database, and to send all your personal info in to their email address. I've gotten around 15 from different countries in the past week, but I feel bad for the people that actually fall for it.
