Need a logo for netcrave.com

Hey all,

I'm looking to do a design for netcrave.com. If anyone knows of any free templates that might fit in nicely. I was looking for something light, I liked this: http://www.oswd.org/viewdesign.phtml?id=2054&referer=/ , but it was too dark. If I can't find anything I'm just gonna go ahead and do an HTML layout myself, but logos/graphics is my weakness....

Anyway, maybe a graphic with marble background, etc.... I'm willing to pay $7 paypal, let me know if this is not a fair price? I just looked at other posts.

As far as a slogan, I'm thinking of "Get your crave on the net" or "Fill your crave on the 'net" .... something like that....

And if anyone has any ideas of what I could do with this site let me know too! hehe.

What sort of graphic with a marble background? Something to the effect of a banner?

Also, what you may want to do considering the template is: If you like the design, use it. You can change colors as you see fit. Changing the colors of the images requires nothing more than using a simple image editor like Paintshop Pro. If you don't have it, there are free trials available on Jasc's website.

Even though $7 for a logo is a majorly low rate, I'll give this a try. Logos do not really look good with backgrounds though, so mine'll just be on white, makes it look crisper.

EDIT: Wait, you do want a logo right? Your post is very unclear, do you want a graphic with marble on, a logo or what? I'm confused now!

There are many who will make you graphics for free, was just reading another post on this site, where MANY replied with free designs. As far as slogans are concerned heres my input:

As far as the logo, yes, just a simple logo on a marble background possibly. Maybe I should do the layout first?

And what would be a better rate?

IMO, a good rate for NP members is 25 and up. If you really want tons of good logos to choose from, at least 50. At 25 you will probably get at least 5 or 6 good ones to choose from. Thats just me though. Theres a lot of professional logo designers that wont do one for $7.

I class myself as a professional logo designer, and at the minute, I am trying to find space in my time to make a logo for this. There are other contests (and I have other projects on) that are worth more money, and so more time.

It is proven and well-known that contests with more money attract more higher-class designers. Just check out a recent thread by PokerAddict where he was paying like $300+ for banners and see the sheer quality of work in that thread! You really think he'd have got such quality if he'd offer $5 or $10? No, of course not.

Full-time job? Yeah, I spose. But, not just logos. Websites, banners, logos and I'm starting to get into print design too. I don't really have a job, well, I guess you could class working for yourself a job, so, yeah, it is.

i was asking because i just do this for fun at the moment, and if this is your full time job why are you on namepros, im sure pro designers get paid more.lol im not saying get lost from name pros, im just wondering why.

I'm on Namepros because, yeah, its all very well doing business professionally - and yes, I do get paid a lot more But, I like to do freelance work in a community situation to build up relationships between people who know other people etc.

It's good fun on here and I love it! This is just a way to get a bit of extra money and build relationships - and have a good ole' chat too Well, hope that explained it, if you want any more info, just ask or PM me.

they get payed minimum 150 dollar for a logo and 250 for a template i think.
