Congratulations to the Texas on beating out USC in one great for the National Championship. I'm not a big fan of Texas personally, but after beating USC to stop any idea of a three 'peat, I must say... Go Longhorns!

I watched the first 1 and 1/2 quarters. I've never been a big football buff (or fan for that matter).

I was pulling for Texas, but not for any good reason. Just because they were closer, and farther down south. :D

USC is a talented team but they showboated as much (if not more) than any college team I have ever seen tonight. Now offense intended, but I can think of one occasion where a certain DB showboated after the ball was overthrown even though he really had nothing to do with the play and arguably the receiver had a step on him.

I'm not usually a fan of the running QB, but Young can throw a ball far better than Vick ever could at this level. Vince has somewhat of a showy personality sure, but at the same time he knows how to have fun and not just make it all show. There are a lot of players who don't know what to do with themselves when they make a play they're supposed to make in the first place or they score - pretty much the case on every team.

That was a truly great game, and a great way to end out the season. I was rooting for Texas, just because I really dislike USC, but it was just a great football game no matter who you were rooting for. Texas really shut out Reggie Bush, but in the 2nd half, they couldn't stop White. To be honest I thought they were going to lose because of the inability to stop White. It will be intersting to see if Vince Young pulls a Matt Leinart and returns to school, with not much to gain, or if he enters the NFL draft this year.

The difference is Vince doesn't have that Heisman sitting in his case where Matt did. Honestly speaking, Leinart had no real reason to come back other than he either loved college football, wanted to try and boost his stock, or he simply wanted to go for a record.

It's a hard call on what Vince will do, I think he proved himself to everyone running for over twice what the Heisman RB did and throwing for just as much as the Heisman QB. I think it's perhaps a more poignant statement if he goes on to the NFL and never does win the Heisman.

Matt, had arm problems last year and wanted to strengthen his arm before going pro. It was a BIG mistake for his Stock Value and will most likely be the last time we see someone do that,(stay in school) when they are at the highest point if their career.(unless they are REALLY HURT)

He can`t stay in school.................
He will never be worth more, listen, look at sports radio, espn, local news he is top talk and when he says he is coming out he will again be all the talk, and that will be the exact reason Matt`s stock has gone down. Another QB out playing him (if you can say that as he played great) and him droping to at least 3rd min. in the draft.
Picture this...the same thing next year with Texas playing for the title against N.Dame and Brady Quinn, out doing VY, and beating Texas, he could lose stock and go after BQ. He can never be on more of a High, never.
Prediction? He goes in the first or second, wanting Houston to take him, but they have to deal with D Carr. VY is from houston :imho:
