Of course, as we mentioned before, the other big piece of info related to this is the fact that the name has not been trademarked yet either in Japan or USA. I really don’t know what to think of this…but apparently the situation is weird enough to make a big wig a this company call foul. Thanks to Gary for the info.

Well I have just gone and checked UPSTO for Trademarks on WII and there at 10 of them all belonging to NINTENDO

The name WII is here to stay already and has been discussed in periods way after above date that it is the final name of their Console.

They also have presented the WII console on the E3. I don't really think this will be changed into another name.

Yeah, sorry I think this is b.s. Yeah its a crummy name at first site, but its created a huge fuss. There's no such thing as bad publicity or so they say. Wii, as bad as the name is, is here to stay.
