Nothing has come from this whole 'domain industry' except for conferences in five-star hotels and a waste of money.

I'm not that lazy, but I don't need that much money. I lead a fairly simple life.

Judging by the menu of topics, this conference has less to do with domaining and more to do with branding and startups. I could be missing the bigger picture here.

Yes, I noticed, which I have huge interest in. I'm launching a non domaining related ecomm company in October. Also, learning branding and startups is essential in this industry when looking for investable domains which are valuable and essential for a startup company to buy at a premium price tag. Goes hand in hand, in my opinion. I see huge value in it and just hope a lot of knowledge transfer is presented by the speakers.

I'm also attending to network and connect with others in the domainers and business industry. This reason alone is enough reason for me to attend. Plus I'm making it a mini vacation to tour around NYC for a few days ;)

thanks for chiming in domeen, but ur comment seems somewhat out of context... my friend status is unrelated and regardless, are you coming into this convo to hate or add value...bc if u were my friend u would know i have plenty but just making a blanket statement like that, how does that help anyone? and yes i have no(none whatsoever) friends thats why im so outgoing...dont hate start to appreciate and add value not detract from posts
