Names preceded by "e"

What is the consensus about domain names that take an otherwise desirable domain name and place an "e" in front of it? For example, let's say SampleName.com is a desirable name, but of course it was taken long ago. Let's say it ould be a $xx,xxx if available. But eSampleDomain.com is available. Is it worth buying for just the reg fee?
