Overall Namepros is a very well run forum and one of the best places for domain name discussion. It is only the mobi section that got a little out of hand due to a few people. A lot of people first found out about mobi because of this place. People werent exactly looking for a place that was free of ALL negative comments about mobi. Discussion is good, but there were people turning every positive comment in every single thread into something negative and making fun of people for investing in .mobi which is not discussion. Negative and hateful comments does not automatically mean its discussion. In the other sections of Namepros not everything is positive but they still manage to actually discuss things without these few people coming in and ruining it. Most mobi owners dont only own .mobi names and not all mobi owners are newbies like people think. In fact, I am sure there are plenty of mobi owners who own .com names that are better than a lot of mobi haters .com names. If I invest $500k in .com names and $5k in .mobi names does that make me a newbie idiot for investing in .mobi? Is my whole domain portfolio worthless now all because of owning some mobi names? Any true investor will invest in multiple things and take risks, they wont only invest in sure things, otherwise people would only buy savings bonds instead of stocks. We are all domainers so we should all support each other no matter which extensions we invest in. Why do people care if someone spends money on a mobi, it doesnt effect them. People reg horrible names every single day in every single extension. There are thousands of newbies everyday who just started domaining and register a ton of worthless .coms too. Without speculation and risk you can never make big money.
