Dear users, The namepros.com owners are using you to get at the good domains, and find out when and where they will be deleting, to buy them at cheap prices and to get ideas what to register and who needs what domains. There cookies are tracking every members moves and what sites they are visiting. I talked to one of these moderators (Apollo Agcaoilli) at a conference last year and he said his income went 3 folds after he started this forum. They read all your private messages and what you are offering, at what price and and to whom. These are lowlife scums that that try to make money from newbie domainers. Dont post here and waste your time. Remember anything you say here will be used to make money for these moderators and forum owners like Armstrong and Rj e.t.c..

Pretty funny stuff, mostly. Seriously, I barely have time to keep up on my own Private Messages. :)

I'll let most of this stuff roll of my back, but one thing I do take offense to: "These are lowlife scums that that try to make money from newbie domainers." That is total B.S. We've worked our tails off building up a place where those that are new to the industry can feel welcome and learn more about domains. I don't think you'll find any instance of myself or the other staff talking down to newbies or anyone with a sincere interst in learning more about our industry. This has been a goal from day one, and continues to be.

Badmouth me all you want, not that I feel its deserved, but I guess I can expect it as the forum owner from the scammers and spammers we've had to boot from NamePros. Jeff and Apollo are good men and I stand behind them 110%. Everything they do here has been on a volunteer basis.. and if Apollo is making 3 times what he did before, I'm glad. I guarantee its not due to any unfair advantages though.

Peace,

RJ

I have faith in this board but a response would give the moderators an opportunity to clear their name.

:imho: I don't think they need to respond to clear their name's. There is nothing to clear. The person who posted it, apparantly was just out to start trouble. And being the inteligant people that we are on NamePros, we see that, and doen't require any response from them.

:)

I think it's pathetic when someone from a competing community or a previously banned member has to be ignorant and post false accusations. It's real professional of you to sign up for the sole purpose to try and drive business and members away from here. Perhaps you feel threatened by the growth of NamePros and have to post such BS to make yourself feel good? Grow up and act your age as according to your profile you're about 40 (if that's accurate). You're an adult so be professional, not immature.

What I would have said in a more polite organized way.

Even if they wanted or had time to read our PM's I don't even think they can.

wow!

I really like the sense of community engendered here. Bravo!

The admins should be proud when the community circles the wagons on their behalf.

Just want to say that I have faith in the NamePros peeps, and this board.

I've learned a lot and met some good folk being here, and thank the admins and owner for keeping it a clean, worthwhile place :loveyou:

There's a place called DNF which would be a great alternative for you.
Yep, if ever there was a domain forum to not trust, DNF would be the one.

Over there, the inmates run the asylum.

Why would the mods and owner go through so much trouble to read hours and hours of threads, pm's etc. when they can just subscribe to dropwatch.com and recieve the expiring domains everyday with stats? Hmm this guy needs a clue about domains first and also needs to rethink his philosophy of turning people away from a forum (community) that is established as well as this.

Lol @ Creepy. I personally find it more "respectful" to accept bad and good points of a forum. If it's good, stay and have fun. If it's bad, either you stay or leave or keep quiet and never come back.

Jealousy is bound to happen when there are a big population of users from all walks of life, with all sorts of characters and attitudes. We simply can't and will never be able to please every single one in here. As seen from what germanguy said, I seriously gave some thoughts to that and find it amazing rather than angry.

Not talking about the mods but even a normal user, have like 10+ PM per day. Looking at how many users we have in this forum, that'll be at least more than 12,000 PM per day! Omg...If I'm the mod, I will not read more than ten thousand PMs per day even if it earns me a thousand dollar or so. And to say many domains are from newbies which are very new to the domain world, I doubt that'll even bring a thousand dollars..

Sigh...I can't help but to laugh at how germanguy made a fool of himself with this kind of false allegation...It's so funny to see that in the modern world, we still have people who treat everyone as 3yr olds.

Haha,
Flora.

I don't believe it for a minute, because it's so unrealistic in general. Personally, I hope everyone here realizes that anything you say on this or any other public site, or any unencrypted posting or email could be intercepted and used. If I don't want something known, I don't post it. I can't even imaging trying to read PM's of a board this size, unless there were a good reason to eliminate rif-raf or stop fraud. I don't know how you could gain any useful information from cookies that would help you find domains.

If the moderators can be the first to hear of something posted whether it be an available name, sales opportunity, hot topic, some banner space, or something else, then I say they deserve it for the work they put in doing the thankless job of moderating. For that matter, probably most domain marketers, whether a moderator or not, who paticipate in forums probably do three times what they would if they didn't participate and stay informed on the market trends.

I appreciate the way this forum is run and trust those running it. Of the three major domain forums, I participate in all three, but this is definitely where I hang out most and feel most at home. My advice is if you don't like it here or trust the owner/moderators, then don't stay here and don't post here.

I have a free Exclusive Lifetime DNF membership to give away _c r e e p y_
You can have it - if you can display some maturity for 24 hours, instead of blowing out words trying to impress.

At DNF, when one craps on someone's sales thread is quickly slapped upside their virtual head - for repeat offenders the door hits them hard on the way out.

The offer is only to _creepy_ and he knows what I am talking about.
Not trying to recruit people over. I use both forums and expect the same high professionalism from both. Again, my previous post was to make a point.

Thanks for all of the support, folks! :)
Most of you may know, I am just returning now from family vacation and this is one of the first threads/posts I've read ... and I deeply apologize for the inconvenience. The accusations here, of course, are baseless and ridiculous ... RJ, Apollo, and I are the complete antithesis of this joker's claims, and we spend countless hours (also, many times, our blood, sweat, and tears (time away from our families) to continue to offer what we consider to be the best Forum - for the best community - on the whole of internet, IMHO.

PS. Here is the E-mail address for our "Germanguy" (I put in the "xxxxx" here, of course, but it's a common free E-mail carrier):
