I've already picked up a couple of nice expiring names using the above, and would like to put probably 25% of my time into finding more. However in using the above three sites two of them lead me to total frustration, and the other one seems to have bloated prices!

NameJet is a joy to use. It is so easy, the interface is pleasant to look at and I get everything I want with just a few clicks. The problem is the prices appear to be obscene. Last night I was going to bid on baco.com and adsales.com. They both hit over $3,000 and that was my limit. Ok, lets watch anyway and see where they go....over $20,000 for adsales and over $16,000 for baco!!! End user prices for expired domains!!!

Ok now onto tdnam and snapnames. It appears they have better deals and prices. But whats the deal with the interface? It takes me twenty minutes of searching before I find anything useful!

On Snapnames I filter by items which will soon be available. But included in the results are domains which must be backordered by several weeks ago? What is the deal with that? Why don't they purge those names from the results?

Then tdnam is just a huge farm of crap with one domain per 1,000 that is halfway decent.

Please help. Is there a better option to these three? Some site which aggregates all of the results? A better way to use SN and TD?

Thank you!

I know a lot of folks like Snapnames, but I can never find a single domain I would like to own there. The have the worst selection.

NameJet is awesome for primo domains, but very expensive. I have too found that I am paying end user prices quite often when buying here. Most domains bought when the PPC rev. is compared to the price paid I am paying 10 to 15 years rev. It's very expensive to play at NameJet.

TDNAM is great for mid-tier domains. Tons to be had, but prices have gone up tremendously. Many are way, way overpriced. I think there are a lot of new domainers making mistakes by overbidding at TDNAM on many of the domains.

Cold-calling domain owners is more effective than these auction houses, but it is also more labor intensive in some respects.

Do any other registrars have something like TDNAM? Where you can buy a domain that's going to drop directly from the registrar it's registered with, before it actually drops?

There is just too much competition at namejet for the better names...

I don't know exactly the alcohol/drinks/mix names in bars and disco's in foreign countries but in the Netherlands 'baco' is a short term for bacardi-cola.
It is used so often that it can almost be added to the dutch dictionary.
Maybe the company Bacardi participated in the bidding and that explains the high amount?
