Namejet recommends choosing a alias that doesn't match your account login ID. Do you think this is a necessary precaution?

I just think they are treating it like some sort of 2 factor authentication. Hiding your username should not be part of the security solution. Actual 2fa or at least captchas for incorrect attempts are better solutions.
