.tv Namecheap transfers

Interesting, I am trying to transfer .tv domain from namecheap to godaddy. When I requested EPP code, I got this: "You don't need EPP to transfer this domain".

Any ideas about that?

When you complete the transfer and are requested to enter the EPP, you can type anything in. It should work as though a genuine EPP code was used.

Not good, but that's the way it is.

Ouch, maybe a reason not to use Namecheap at all.

I thought I read somewhere that in 2006 all registrars had to give an EPP code for security purposes so names can't be transferred out unauthorised?

Whoever have .TVs with namecheap should at least be sure that all domains are locked
