I have couple of domains registered with them and I want to transfer my domains to NameCheap. The problem is that they wont unlock my domains for transfer!? I created EPP code for every domain and tried to transfer to NameCheap but every time I get:
Canceled - Invalid EPP/authorization key - Please contact current registrar to obtain correct key

In NameCheap cp is says, when I initiate the transfer, that the domains are "available for transfer".

Any help would be appreciated. :)

Oh yeah, one thing I forgot to mention.... I opened a support ticket 4 days ago but still no reply (off course :D) so my hands are tied.

How do you find the EPP code on RegFly? I cant seem to find it :(

The EPP code can be found in contact details for the domain (scroll down to the bottom of the page). Normally it is a random mix of letters and digits and you do not create it, it is already set for you.

RegFly is the WORST site ever. I absolutly hate them, you should NEVER use them.

How did you "create" an epp code for domains? As far as I know you don't create them and you have to get them from RegisterFly on the bottom of the whois page for each domain. I haven't had any issues transferring out of RF (thank god) but of course RF is riddled with problems for just about everyone.

Yes RF seems to be full of issues. Have you contacted the support team with this error?

Thanks for help sdsinc! I thought that EPP code is something you create yourself (my friend told me so :)). Seems like I've done everything correct this time and the transfer should be finished in couple of hours.

BTW, they still didn't reply to my ticket :D... just stay away from RF!

Cheers!

Don't expect the transfer to take a few hours. It's 7 days normally. This is standard registrar procedure even though some may release it sooner (enom does). Just be patient and don't get crazy if the transfer hasn't happened in a few hours. Give it 7 days.

I have a major issue with registerfly at the moment. They are letting a name expire that should have transfered out beforehand, and was paid for, they have lied to me twice and I have had to email them 5 times over the same incident, which is still not resolved, as well as spend over an hour and a half on their "24hr support". I am going to file a complaint to Icann if it isn't resolved within 48 hours. I am soooo mad with them right now... >:( >:( >:(

I tried to file a complaint to ICANN about the issue I had with them couple a months ago (they stole my domain :)) but it looks like ICANN doesn't give a damn about it :D, they replied to me in a manner something like:

"Please deal all issues regarding your domain with your registrar...." LOL!

Maybe we should start a petition to simply ask ICANN to remove RegisterFly from an accredited registrar?

Wait until I transfer my domains LOL :D... hehe...

Do you really think that would be possible? Disregard their shitty interface and awful service, they are pretty big company with a lot of capital. I just think that would be waste of time.

P.S. They finally replied to my ticket after 5 days :).

Well..not sure if it would work but it might either force RF to change or for others to be aware of how bad they are. ICANN certainly can't ignore 10,000 people signing a petition.

Many of the registrars that SnapNames uses have an epp system that you reative a "Security Secret" that functions as your epp, so it could (theorhetically) be something as simple as "Allan".

Most of the big-boys, however, do exactly what you say (The random L's and #'s auto-generated, no matter what the retrieval process.).

Count me in if there are some more interested parties :)... I'm a web developer and willing to create a small CMS for this cause. I would also host it on my server so we only need a domain :D.

Cheers!
