Be patient. I think that first what you have to do is contact their support.

Domains in your signature are coming up for me.
So I guess this has been sorted out. And yes as ServerPoint suggested, this is not the first place to come.

How long did it take for your Namecheap hosting to be set up? I'm at 8+ hours and counting. Their support won't give an estimated time.

a couple days. i finally ended up contacting them and they told me that my application was marked as "suspicious" or something and i had to send them a copy of my photo ID/drivers license. kinda sucked. After i sent it it was another day and then i got the welcome email with the hosting info and everything.

I don't used the hosting anymore though.

Did you find there was a lot of down time?

That's the problem when you host with someone that specializes in something else. Namecheap has been the best registrar that I could ever ask for, but what I've heard about their hosting services on this board and others seems to follow the same trend.

I wanted to try them because it's inexpensive for a single domain. There are a few domains I want on different hosts, and don't want to invest in even more reseller accounts (already have 2 and 1 semi-dedicated), I wish more hosts offered an ultra-basic hosting account (1 domain, minimal storage, moderate bandwidth) for those of use who want to spread out some sites.

I second that. Same is applied to Godaddy. Have seen many negative reviews on both with hosting. But they are really good for domains.
