So NameCheap was unavailable today and apparently for awhile yesterday too.... it really bothered me today because I needed to make changes to a few domains for a sale to a third party and I was unable to do so because NameCheap was totally down.
Not only that their Namecheap Status - Namecheap Status page was also down apparently.... NameCheap has all of their servers located in one Datacenter.
I think it is not very unprofessional for a registrar like NameCheap to not have some sort of high availability or failover solution in place. I have sites that receive not even a fraction of the traffic NameCheap offers but you can bet that I have a HA/Failover solution setup so if anything happens on one of my HA websites/services the other network will immediately pickup to provide continuity of service.
