Namecheap discount code discontinued

Arg, I've been using the namecheap code "SAVE7993" and now its gone. I'm sad, and once again have to pay full price.

How long do you anticipate the downtime for new domain names to activate to be? going on almost 2 days now. Is this a normal thing, i've never seen it before.

Domains usually become active immediately, but take no more than 24 hours. Please go ahead and p.m. a list of the domains you are having an issue with and I will be more than glad to check on them for you.

This will drop your price to $7.99 per each .com, .net, or .org domain purchased and still include a one year free whois guard subscription per domain as well. I will confirm later if it covers any other TLD domains.

I have registered a number of domains for one year. When I renew them (for another year) will I get the free Whoisguard. Or is it just for new registrations (I suspect this to be the case)?

Certainly a good marketing trick. I will be buying Whoisguards for my domains when I renew them. If it hadn't been for the free 1 year sub I don't think I would have bothered.

How come NameCheap is more expensive than some of the others (GoDaddy and Dynadot to name but two) for .info domains?

I would prefer to reg all my domains through NameCheap but because of the price difference (which is considerable in some cases) I may end up registering some through NameCheap and some through one of the others.

The voucher doesn't seem to cover .info domains which may have helped.

one of the useful tools with namecheap is the moveable whoisguard which can be lifted temporarily if required, which might be the case for eg sedo to ascertain domain ownership...this is unlike GD with which one loses the guard if lifted and therefore has to be paid for again. NC is therefore the better register for whoisguarded adult names with or without the coupon...however with the coupon NC is my default registrar while GD is not offering too much in the way of discounts for single name registration, which is about now!
