Namecheap discount code discontinued

Arg, I've been using the namecheap code "SAVE7993" and now its gone. I'm sad, and once again have to pay full price.

How come NameCheap is more expensive than some of the others (GoDaddy and Dynadot to name but two) for .info domains?

I would prefer to reg all my domains through NameCheap but because of the price difference (which is considerable in some cases) I may end up registering some through NameCheap and some through one of the others.

The voucher doesn't seem to cover .info domains which may have helped.

I can see where you're coming from with that. Although as I wasn't intending on registering adult names, I may not have used the privacy option anyway. I know over on the DomainState forum I've seen comments about it being unnecessary and maybe even detrimental to selling on a domain. There was also concern that the the domain could be stolen from you as you're name does not effectively appear on the registry.
Correct me if I'm wrong on that one, I am new to this.

I found a link on whcoupons.com for GoDaddy which appears to give you .com at $7.20 inc reg fee - haven't actually gone through to checkout yet, but the basket show it at this price so should be ok. info domains are priced at $6.20 inc. reg fee.
You don't have to purchase several domains to get this price as far as I can see.

Yeah I know, it was just a question......just want to make sure I spend my hard earned money in the right way and for the best value, which may be that I use NameCheap for everything anyway as they're a better quality domain reg....
