howdy,

i'm quite happy w/ nameacheap, however there are some annoyances:
it's not possible to change the whois details for .de, .eu and .mobi
domains, even though the registries allow it.

i tried name.com, wasn't happy w/ their interface and support took very long to answer and wasn't too helpful.

gandi, didn't like the interface either, also support was veeeery slow, not cool.

was at another crappy registrar, can't remember it's name...

are there any other alternatives, which could be a fit for my ~25 domains, w/ about the same price as nc?

cheers

I don't think it's just namecheap - making changes to .de .eu etc
seems to be a proccess especially if you have "Residency Restrictions"
supplied by your registrar.

Changing my .de info took me over 4 months... ;)

that is correct, but i was just changing the address, not the name.
eurid states, that changing the name is a 'trade' and thus they want a fee for it.

namecheap's issue is that i have to open a ticket, because it won't work via the control panel.

note to self: don't write stuff, if you're tired and pigged out from christmas....

or suffering from a chocolate hangover...
Opening a ticket was the only way I could do it...(just for address updates)
they had to forward the info to the .de registrar thingee and await approval - now this was 2 years ago
but I don't think it's changed much - the whois seems to be the same slow process.
