I had two names that i picked up via a Snapnames auction that landed at this registrar. I have had some major difficulties in the past w/ registrars that are partnered w/ Snapnames. I have dealt w/ registrars who have policies that would make "prying a name loose" a more, apt, description than "transferring a name out." I have run into smokescreens and have been dealt w/ personel who have been rude and uncooperative, to say the least.
So, it's a pleasure to be able to introduce you to one of the smaller and lesser known registrars that I were a pleasure to work with and that I highly recommend: GetyerName.com. Some background. When I won these names a year and a half ago, Snapnames dropped the ball and forwarded my old whois info, despite the fact, that I am 100% possitive that I updated my contact info w/ them. Snapnames refused to correct their mistake and dropped the problem onto me. To make a long story short, I layed the problem back on them, they of course, did nothing about it, a year went by and I never received any notification emails because the contact email that Snapnames assigned to the domains had been defunct for nearly 3 years. By the time I caught up w/ the names, they were already in the registrar "renewal window", and were, seriously, close to dropping. If I had been working w/ one of the other Snapnames partners I had past dealings w/, I am sure I would have lost the names.
In the 11th hour, I called up their service dept and after 2-3 rings was met by a friendly and extremely helful individual who knew what he was doing and went out of his way to insure that the names stayed w/ me. I have, since, sold both names and the push was a hassle free, one minute operation that was done on site. Their interface is a breeze to work with. Renewals are $15 so this is not a discount registrar but if you don't have a large portfolio and immediate service from honest, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable people are your top priority, GetyerName is for you. I give them my highest reccommendation.
