Name with Google in it

Someone I know has built a website with the domain name starting with 'google' what do you think will happen to this?

I won't say what it is but if google finds it what will they do?

If google find out, they can shut down as Google is there TM if it is a site such as a discussion board / forum then they might be ok but not always.

Google could still close them down, I certainly would doubt that the google will come and buy them out that is what most people think will happen but this wont be the case!

why ask for trouble? google is tm ,tell your friend to start fresh and clean and look for another name for his web site, Imo

had one domain like that.Here is what happened; they left it in index for a while [yr]but could never show adsence on it because they filter for names containing .eventually was deindexed .....so what good are they? you would probably have more luck with name containing the se starting with Y because then they could care a little less.

I believe that associates of the big G will call around to perps house in the early hours of a morning. They will drag him screaming and kicking from the comfort of his bed and his home after to being told to say his goodbyes to his family.

He will be bundled in to the boot of a black Chinese owned Hummer with no license plates.

That will be the last that is ever heard from him.:o





















Alternatively they may take the name away or just ignore it as inconsequential. :cy:

There's one case, I believe the domain is "go ogle it.com"

Their logo says "Go Ogle It" instead of "Google it" and they've been left alone.

I own FakeGoogle.com.. I plan to make it into a spoof/comedy site...Let google come after me all they want, I don't live my life worrying about such trivial matters....Besides, I have a law background, and as stated above, there are plenty of ways to get around using a "trademark"...
