Name similarity [Legal]

Hi,

I have a domain name, www.Neminox.com , which I bought on 11-Jan-2006.

After searching around I found 2 similar domains, www.nominox.com and www.nemonox.com I think neither of these are trademarked, and do not have the same purpose, [Mine, web design, game, discussion].

Also we all know about Nominet, the UK domain name registry. http://www.nominet.org.uk/ [That I know is trademarked]

If I were to trademark Neminox would it be accepted, im only concerned about the similarity with Nominet, even though its not too similar.

Only an attorney or your local trademark office can say. But I wouldn't worry
so much about it if your usage will be unrelated to the others you mentioned.

And another thing Im wondering, do trademarks have a length or how long it will still remain valid? [I am aware about generalisation and abandonment]
