Is this a decent name for a computer support business? I do home computer networking/repair, etc part-time and wanted to setup a website for my biz.

I thought MyPCStinks was kinda catchy... or is it too harsh to be a legit business name? Haha...

Any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks!

It sounds more like a humor site to me. Sounds good on it's own; I just don't picture it as a bussiness name.

i agree, a business should look more professinal, even if it's casual

I disagree, I think it is quite catchy. Good luck with it. ;)

(For the logo you could have a monitor with stink lines over it)

Yeah i think you could use it! very catchy could be used to sell upgrade computer parts etc etc

It may sound catchy, but it'll put off more customers than attract.

Use a name such as "CompuFix", or "FixMyPC". (a few np$ appreciated if used!)

Google isn't a professional name, and they aren't exactly poor are they?

Actually when I first discovered google I thought it was a terrible name, but it was so stupid that it stuck in my head, and it is easy to type. I think mypcstinks.com is pretty cool. :)

I agree with virgil and legend2, the name sounds more humoristic than professional.
"stinks" has a negative tone, I would rather go for something more positive :imho:

I actually like the name. Esy to remember and say. Now wheather you can turn it into a respectable business site is up to you. I mean if the name gets some traffic you can just grab annother name and redirect it. But its worth a try. Could turn out good.

I'm sorry but I cant see it as a business name either :( as virgil stated, sounds more like a humor site or something similar..

then again, it really comes down to the right marketing techniques..

spy69 has a point. The credibility of the company is down to you, not something as trivial as it's name.

disagree, the domain name is the first piece of the shop window for your business. it is a catchy name. just set the subject line of your website as 'we fix your stinky pc! the only downside is the association with smell.....

Thanks for the comments ... I think I'll toss the idea around for a bit and then setup a site if I want. Still not 100% sure of it.
