Was a boring weekend and I decided to be a geek over the weekend lol well try to Anyways
Did some research on a few issues, trends and my thoughts on Justin.tv had turned more positive actually. Not as mixed as I was.
I jumped on there for an hour or so checking out peoples stuff. Surly a soap opera but seeing how people can get sucked inn watching things.
Justin, platforms, audience addictions I see a more powerful model now
Now what Justin needs to do is to run social adds while people do there web cam stuff and they can basically form there own ppc network, charge there own rates, seek big sponsors in things due to there numbers each day. Note, I am afraid to say this but I think half the parking companies will go bankrupt, top players like frank will form his own ppc network and more cash. Did a write up on this before
Anyways Justin is only getting started and they can do a huge revenue share in each users platform and or run google ads on everyones network
That's amazing stuff if this occurs for .tv names, industry, growth. I am curious what type of an impact this could have on demand media. Both are solid companies, demand way ahead of the pact due to the brains, deep pocket VC money and probably IPO by year end or early next year. Another huge win for us
Then I been wondering on ppc parking companies. The main domainers should form there own ppc network, google will will miss that volume by them, half the parking companies today will go chapter 11 unless they reinvent the wheels with video ppc ads vs the ppc concept. Its working now but will it continue to work. I don't think so in 3 years times.
Sounds far fetched?? Yes and now. Extreme, yes it is right now but will likely occur I think
I think .tv will become mainstream. A buddy said this over the weekend which makes sense. His 3 year old kid knows what a tv is, Franks child knows what a .com is ref his last speech in Seattle. How many 3 to 5 year old kids know a .com. Not many. How many know what a tv? A lot. They watch the cartons, play games with a tv. Point is .tv will be a mainstream product with young children.
Justin.tv, my view point has changed and you got me sucked in on your model. Make the next steep and make us all proud of your developments and do the video ads and own ad group. We are sitting very well but can't rely on google, yahoo, parking companies, development is key, drawing people into channels, portals and social graphs. Note, bye bye stupid web 2.0 hello social graph.
