First off, I want readers to know that I'm not receiving anything for this review and was not asked by anyone to provide this.

I always wanted a lander with a simple inquiry form for all my domains, No Ads, No Adsense, just a form with a nice background.. Over 20 years of using Parking providers with them earning dollars and me earning pennies, I was done with it, but what really motivated me to move off of Parking landers was the LOW response rate on the inquiry form, I have honestly not had a single inquiry in a two year period, and my names are NOT crappy.

In searching for a solution I read about Efty on DNW and it was exactly what I was looking for, and the cost was reasonable, I decided to give it a try, signed for the trial and began setting up my domains, (very user friendly btw) I had all my domains setup in a couple days, which allowed me to choose the background and form of my choice for each of the domains. Along the way I did multiple tests on the form and the messages passed through almost immediately, no delays, no issues, perfect!.

After only 4 days of setting this up, , I get an inquiry with a respectable offer for one of my domains, then I get another one a few days after that on another domain, then yesterday I get one for a different domain, all in less than 3 weeks. 2 of these offers are currently in negotiation, the other a waiting game. The point is, I went from ZERO inquiries in 2 years, to 3 inquires in under 3 weeks.

As for Customer support? Very responsive!, not 24 hours would pass and I'd have a detailed response that would resolve my issue.. The customization has a few quirks and the smart landers are in need of more options, but other than that, I'm extremely happy with it!

And BTW, these inquires have proven to be from end users, at least so far.

In addition, All your domains are supported with an SSL certificate. (y)

Is there some system in place for them to increase sales? Because this just sounds like a coincidence, likely from changing nameservers which normally triggers some inquiries. Their website also says they "increase sales" but they don't say how this is achieved

your title sounde like efty offers parking. why?

change it.

efty didn't pay u but u pay efty to use it. subscriptions are ripoff why u think nobody in domains has them

lastly.. changing lander has nothing to do with more sales. if someone wants domain they dont care about lander. in fact all u need is page in asci with your email.

lastly2, prove to me whatever offer u got on efty u woildnt get elsewhere... which u cant prove.. why.. cause to prove it u would need same domain on different landers at same time.

and we dont do multiverses just yet.

I don't think it's a coincidence at all, Having the form directly on the lander is far more effective than a "for sale" link stuck in corner on a Parked Adsense page, If the end user doesn't see it, they assume it's taken and leave.

Also, the direct form is far more reliable, with a Parked lander, when a potential buyer clicks the sale link and completes the form, it's been my experience that those messages are rarely received for a variety of reasons, because the messages are indirectly routed, which begs the question; How many inquiries did I miss over the last 20 years? I begged the domain fairy not to tell me.

To answer your question; I assume what Efty means is that you increase sales by increasing exposure, You have the option of including your domain on Efty Market, where your domain is listed in Googles search results, I just typed in one of my domains and it's ranking 3rd on the first page, between 2 Instagram links, that's pretty good IMO.. Below is an example of what it looks like;

The domain name e-x-a-m-p-l-e.com is for sale
"The domain name e-x-a-m-p-l-e.com is for sale on Efty
, the world's marketplace for domain names. Secure domain transfers with expert guidance"

The problem with a for sale banner on a parked page with ads is that ad blockers usually block the entire parked page, meaning many visitors wouldn't see your for sale banner.

Efty makes great landing pages, but I think you would have seen the same results using any of the for sale landers from the major companies. The reason people use Afternic is you also get access to their partner network, which gets your domain in the registration path of many registrars, especially GoDaddy.

I think the best case use for Efty landers is when you have premium domain names worth a lot of money -interested buyers would seek you out by contacting you via whois info or through your landing page, rather than trying to register the domain from a registrar and finding you that way. That way you don't pay commission which would normally come out to a lot more than what you're paying Efty, making it worth it.

Thank you. I was not aware of the ad blockers, that would explain the low number of inquiries as well, And you nailed it, I have many premium domains (not all) and stay clear of listing on Aftermarkets, I simply hate paying the high commission rates, I did it once and it really bites. Since then I've done escrow myself for all my sales transactions, it's not that hard... I appreciate your input as well as your intellect.

I am always pleased when someone gets some success, by doing something different. It is often the case that "If you want something different, you have to do something different". This in the same space of people who keep doing trying the same thing and then expecting different results.

So well done! I am sure the recent interest in your names has boosted your belief in the quality of the names you have and that some/many of them will sell.

I won't tut tut you on not taking action for 20 years, as the reasons why are not known to me and it's not necessary to regurgitate the reasons. That is water under the bridge.

I think there is space for a parking provider to provide a more equitable arrangement with domain name holders and if someone like that did emerge, they would surely clean up.

I was wondering if you can assess the difference between Efty landers and NamePros landers? I presume you have not tried the NP landers.

I see. In that case this really just proves having a proper lander is good. All marketplaces offer this, I don't think it has anything to do with Efty imo

As for not taking action, Revenue and inquires weren't always bad, parking simply died a slow death, at least for me, And with my career taking over, I just lost interest in domaining, but I kept my domains on auto-renew and parked, they were valuable to lose.. Fast forward to now, I'm making a large purchase and need to liquidate my domains, That's where Efty comes in, no middle man, no commission, good exposure, reliable contact form, beautiful landers, I love it.

BTW, I did try NP landers before I found Efty, no matter what I did, I couldn't get my domains verified, I tried to resolve it with my Registrar and NP but couldn't, The domains were live, but the forms failed to go through so I gave up.

And yes, confidence in my portfolio is back, having end users contact you, best feeling in the world!.. Thank you for your kind words and input.

Yes, but with a marketplace comes paying out a commission, and often times relinquishing control of your domain.

Thank you for sharing your experience! Glad you got a few inquires and hope they lead to sales. I agree the savings over Aftermarket commissions is a great feeling :)

That is strange. I am sure you checked the TXT addition and names severs were right, so I can't imagine what the problem would be.

Perhaps you could report back at some point when any of your domains sell?

I have come to the view that all marketplaces are iffy, at best, and that they are mostly jam packed with junk.

And the domain owners seem to think that placing their domain in a marketplace gives them a chance to sell their junk names. It mostly won't. It just shows their desperation.

Fine if you want to operate in the $25-$99 value domain name space, but I suspect such values are not why most domain owners got into buying domain names. And only bigger fools than the domain owner will be buying such names.

I'd say wait for the first sale - don't count or get excited about inquiries. There’s indeed a lot of junk. A domain can receive dozens of inquiries per day on Efty, but that doesn’t mean anything. And yes, many junk inquiries manage to bypass spam filters as well.

Efty is generally okay. The landers are nice, clean, and customizable, and the owner (Doron) is very cool and helpful.

However, like many others here, I don’t really feel that the placement fee. Second, - I don’t think the landers provide much of an edge. This isn’t necessarily an issue with Efty itself but more of a general reality - landing pages don’t make difference, in my opinion. The only scenario where a lander (from any provider) could improve visibility is if they (lander creators) find a way to maximize SEO options for client - tags, titles, schema markup, and so on. That could give the page a small advantage in visibility, though optimizing a lander for SEO is extremely complex. But if you know some SEO, it's possible.

But lander alone - doesn't really matter, it's purely about the name.

Come back to this thread with a sale and tag me ) Good luck!

To clarify, the 3 inquires in 3 weeks I indicated here are from serious buyers only, they are not junk inquires, I would not have created this thread if that were the case. Of the three, one is a negotiator for Godaddy, the other a purchasing agent for a mining company and the other a jewelry retailer.. If any of these domain fail to sell, it will be because I didn't get the price I wanted.
