With the erratic swings in the cryptocurrency market, it brought to mind that some of my domain investing colleagues might need support.

All joking aside, there are very real and serious consequences for many real people that invested heavily in this market.

I saw a couple of YouTube videos of people that feel they might have invested too much.

I do believe that cryptocurrencies are here to stay, and I know that there are people that invested early enough to be okay even now.

My prayers go out to any of my fellow Domainers that might be locked in for a while.

I also think that every investor should set some type of personal floor limit so as to have a plan if losses must be cut.

You should be praying that you’re heavily invested right now. This will be a huge year and upswing for the entire crypto market.

If you’re not invested you should be buying now, you’ve been handed a gift...

My concern is for good people losing money they can't afford to lose.

As I read articles over the past week (not just follow prices), seems much of the news is negative. This is a real concern for me.

It isn't the investors who are in trouble, some of us are still showing profits. It's the cannon fooder who saw crypto as an easy ride to riches, and ignored the basic rules - don't speculate with more than you can afford to lose, and learn the market before you dive in at the deep end.

Bitcoin is still on a growth path if you look at the one year trend lines, but obviously there will be some more rocky rides in the future.

domain investing colleagues might need BRAIN not support! lol

Domain investing and crypto currency "investing"(risking) are Serious Business, if you made wrong investments with your money, there is no turning back. Say Good Bye to your cash.

To me bitcoin investing is like a Dead End Road. Its like buying a piece of land in Mars, some say Mars will worth millions but you will never gonna live there anyways! LMAO! You get my point?? if not, good luck with your bitcoin ventures!! :hilarious::xf.grin:

Bitcoin and ALL Crypto coins are a Trap, Trap, Trap...
I’m not watching the video but that’s an ignorant statement. The underlying technology is a game changer. Those who recognize this and choose to invest will reap the rewards!

Investors buy when markets are low.
Bandwagoners do the opposite

I too heard the horror stories of people re-mortgaging there homes to buy bitcoins and other crypto.
No-one should ever risk anything that they can't afford or don't mind losing.

Heard one or 2 stories of people who had sold houses in exchange for crypto?

Like all people who get wealthy, there MUST be losers

I have zero bitcoins. I was never convinced with this and always told everyone no need to invest in. I dont know really but looks like my worries are about to come true ...6K ...That is huge. What if it keeps going down? wow
I think if they drop as low as a few hundred I might buy just one!

around 15 cents.. speaking from usd value strictly.

but with all this pairing nonsense .. .I guess its gonna get more complicated to figure out.. and me having bought trx at 15 cents.. does not mean I'll be breaking even when it hits 15 cents again :)

cause now you gotta look at relative btc/eth pairings vs trx etc..

unless Im not understanding this correctly :)
Just hold it in a wallet and forget about it.....check back in a year or 2 and you'll be ok.

I was backing XRP before Christmas.
Currently breaking even.
I think they will all have another surge pretty soon.

That’s the risk of pouring money into a currency that isn’t actually a currency

Well, if they discover Tether has not been keeping a 1:1 ratio and if they can't prove the reserves they say they have... HODL is going to turn into a major SODL

I think within next 6 months the lowest price will be between $700-2000. I don't think it will go back to $10k anytime soon.

How about Getting Back to REALITY?? :banghead::banghead::facepalm::facepalm:

Everyday I sleep very good and I don't need anything that stresses me out to the point of getting Insomnia... (y):joyful::sleep::sleep:

well its not really fake forecasts.. its just the simple fact that no one knows where it'll go.
so its all opinions and guesses. that's all it is.

do not bet all your wealth on guesses then.

but if you have some play money u do not care about losing then yeah.. I guess you can go to casino and have some fun or by some cryptos.

domains are different. its only $10 to reg something for whopping one year.. or buy something on aftermarket and then hold it.. its also $10 per year.. yes its a gamble too.. but some knowledge and experience you can minimize risks.. in some cases eliminate them.. whereas in casino or crypto.. even with knowledge.. how much a coin will be worth tomorrow does not depend on you at all.

EXACTLY, nobody knows where YOUR MONEY WILL GO when you waste your money in bitcoin, it could go to some guys pocket in china, japan, usa, panama or even Russia, and that guy will laugh at your face when he enjoys your money...

The bitcoin founders are hidden in the dark, nobody knows them and that's very Shady, Mysterious and Scary at some point.

exactly.
and the fact that btc creation is shrouded in mystery... only helps to fuel suspicions.. theories.. plots.. conspiracies etc..

and yes, no one knows where your money will go.. who profits.. and I also meant that no one knows where coin prices will go... between the moment u go to bed one night.. and wake up the day after.

pretty much a receipe for destruction if you ask me... so I keep away now and stick to domains. at least here I can keep learning, and not repeat same mistakes again. and have some control about my future domain investments/profits/loses. which is much more difficult to do in cryptoworld.

This is called "natural selection" I believe. Like when kids that play hockey in the road get run over.

That's called COMMON SENSE... lol

Natural selection is like people follow the crowd just to be part of the group, team or beliefs. People who "invest" in bitcoin without thinking just because their friends did it. Even if you have smart friends, they could make bad decisions. Its better if you analyze and take your own decisions.
