How can I leverage this to a higher value? Is it possible to increase the value of this domain name by holding it without selling it? If not, create a blog page and get traffic?
Thank You!

Update: MorningNewYork.com is now generating consistent organic traffic on Sedo!

The Sedo sales lander takes all traffic that your domain receives, including bots, into account.

Most traffic comes from bots.

Hello Future Sensors, thank you. Given its brandable nature I believe it s genuine demand. Do you think a niche name like this would attract bot traffic or is it pure organic interest?🤔

24 days old. Super long. I didn’t know brandables received more traffic than exact match domains.
Sedo stats are the most unreliable out there.
100k is a bit optimistic

A bit optimistic?.....

More chance of a penguin meeting me for sushi tomorrow than this selling for 100k....

If you don’t have dreams they wont come true.
Overall not a bad name, better than most on.namepros

During the first 30 days there are a list of autobots that will check your landing page, name servers, and whois records. Whoisology, archive.org, your parking provider, domaintools, etc....In addition, there is a Swedish company that tracks all regs to see if/when a corporate buyer may be launching something new. Add to that list CSC and Mark Monitor doing regular TM enforcement and you're probably not getting much traffic.

Thank you all for the feedback and insights. I understand the $100K valuation might seem high to some, but I m in no rush and believe in the long term brand value of 'Morning New York' for the right end user. I also keeping an eye on the traffic trends as suggested. Best of luck with all your sales!😌

I miss the time when I was a noob, with wildly unrealistic expectations...

Pricing this domain so high within a five-domain beginner portfolio is a very unwise bet.

Unless you're banking on a huge global trend that doesn't exist yet, it's a tough sell.

As a domain investor just starting out, you need many smaller wins to learn quickly. Try not to be stubborn. We see people make that mistake here all the time.

You're clearly a nice guy and you've picked a solid .com, but your expectations are currently completely out of sync with the market.

Keep in mind, the pros usually have a healthy mix. They move plenty of names in the $2k to $5k range and only go higher when the domain truly warrants it. High(er) prices aren't random. They're for top-tier assets that have the "legs" to justify that kind of investment. And even then it can take a very long time before such a moonshot domain sells.

Good luck, and welcome to the forum.

Ultimately, it's not just about registering (or acquiring) nice end-user domains, it's also about pricing them well and having a realistic sense of how likely they are to sell at that price in the (near) future. There are a lot of variables to get right, and if even only one is off, your odds can decline sharply.

Thank you for the warm welcome and for sharing your perspectives. I appreciate the advice from experienced members like @Future Sensors.
While I understand the point about a typical beginner portfolio I ve decided to hold firm on this valuation based on the specific organic traffic and brand potential I m seeing for MorningNewYork.com. I m in no rush to sell and am happy to wait for the right end user who recognizes its full value.
Good luck to everyone with your portfolios as well!

I'm sorry, but it's not organic traffic. And you are sticking to the stubborn route. I'm guessing this is not your primary income stream.

Enjoy the ride.

The OP registered this domain in January.

It gets the normal largely bot traffic to new regs, and they are expecting a six figure value...

Come on.

You really think people are typing some random 3 word domain into their browser?
