Ive emailed him 4 times over a fortnight and he asked once for bank details for a refund, i did, but still nothin :'(

I usually won't buy from an ebay user unless they have feedback of 1,000+, unless I know who they are.

Sorry for your loss, and I hope you can get it back.

How did you pay ? Credit Cards etc ... ? Might be able to do a chargeback ...

Sorry to hear it

I never pay with a MO unless a seller has 1000+ feedbacks over 99.6% or so, in this case negatives are usually just some misunderstandings. If you paid with a credit card like Visa or Amex you can easily get a chargeback; in case youy had a wire transfer, I'm sorry for your loss :(

Thanks, cya.

In this case experience comes with .... experience :) They didn't really steal it; they said, "Who wants to give us their money?" and I'm sure many people get caught like that :(

I'd be really angry too if I were you, but by the looks of it, there doesn't seem to be anything that you can do that might help you get your money back.

There really should be tougher laws - and punishments - on this type of activity. Just because the crime happened over the internet, it dosen't make it any less important.

Im really sorry to hear that. I want to know why they dont feel the guilt, that is alot of money to lose!

As rule of thumb dont buy expensive items off users with less than 1,000 feedback score.

I hope you get it back and good luck in the future!

PayPal is an eBay organisation, and I think you should read the terms & agreements at paypal again, you'll be suprised what you're allowing them permission to do.

I was ripped off pretty bad like that with an opportunity to earn $300 overnight, bought something for $150 real cash, sold for $450 same day for PayPal, got chargebacks, and the item was a non-tangible good :/

Its annoying the way that they can just allow us to sign up without actually reading out the terms to us, or teling us the terms just as we make a transaction.

There should be laws that tell you the deal straight, not all of this legal rubbish that no one actually fully understands, a list of bullet points for you and I that can actually be read and understood.

Big companies have so many ways, covering their backs in any way that they can to allow them to be in the right and you in the wrong, when really they are wrong, but just because it says in a 100,000 line legal document that you were meant to read impossibly in the time it takes your cookie to expire and to start your registration again.

The big guys always come out unscaved

Its bad when you're studying law, I don't understand none of the text in my work.

PayPal have basically said:
"If we have reason to believe you're a potential fraud, you will allow us to freeze your account and take the money out of your bank / paypal account and keep it."

The red flag system has a racial factor in it.

I recommend any paypal traders to read www.paypalsucks.com
It can help you protect yourself.

Remember, Never trade with the same person twice.
