I get about that many free magazines as well...My mailman must have thrown them at my door because they were all over the steps.

A Christmas card sounds like a good idea.

My mail lady, ups and fedex all which my family was not part of their routes! In the past 2 weeks or so, we have gotten about 40 or so packages. A typical week includes at lead 5-10 with a combination of my dad's and mom's work stuff. The past 2 weeks has been mostly for my mom's clients(she does promotional stuff and alot of Christmas stuff has come). In January, the UPS store where she has a business mailbox isn't looking forward to it as she will be getting at least a hundred large catalogs. We will be doing gifts for all!

Mailmans still go door-to-door these days? In my neighbourhood, they have a central location with rows of mailboxes, which is really close by, but still not delivered to our door... usually get some fresh air too while picking up the mail :)

In that situation, my mailman wouldn't know who I was, but they'd someone in the house I live is an avid reader purchasing hundreds of magazines :p

To be honest, I glance thru most of them when they first arrive, look for anything interesting, but rarely read anything cover to cover

Just like Dgridley I also receive quite a number and take a quick look on most pages, then just read a few articles that pick my interest and finally donate them all like brand-new to the library which is one block from my house.

In exchange they allow me to take other expensive magazines to read at the peace of my home, magazines that they do not allow to leave the library at all, returning them back later.

I'm a good samaritan... ;)

I subscribed to hundreds of free magazines when I was newbie in internet world and now I get about 10 kg of magazines every month. Most of them are product catalogues, I dont have time to read them now so these magazines just go to scrap for recycling :p

In Northern Ireland, esp in Belfast you get a new mailman every week as they are on rotation.

Problem solved :p

Oh I forgot to tell you why my mailman hates me :P

I get packages that are too big for the letterbox and too small to leave at the postoffice so he has to climb up 20 odd stairs to my front door to drop it off. This happened every week for like 6 months. You should see the look on his face :hehe:

You should leave him a note on your step telling him Merry Christmas. Your present is saving him the money for a gym membership.

;)
