But here it's the situation: My Girlfriend and I are planning to get married, she's 6 months pregnant, and as I promised to her, I would get Married as soon as I can, her parents put too much pressure on her, and that make her a little depress, I have a job as a Computer Technician, but you know... I do appreciate your comments, my ""point"" is: When you type ATHLETE on Google [or any other search engine] the first website/domain, listed on the top is a .MU [which I ignored the country where it belongs] for what I've read or understand is that Google lists the more popular/more hits or the closer definition to your intended search...
I can see you're a serious appraiser, and the way you post it says so... as you say it 'I got good keywording' I'm not responsible for the .EXTs, we are not the only ones in the world who uses the web for business? right...
Sorry if I'm rude, I just say the more important part is the name, and more than 50% of my domains are .com, .net,.org's...
2 +... I'm giving whole groups for one price and I have added some toll free numbers, logos, FBNs and a LLC...
I'm personal friend of the guy who's in the cover of Business 2.0 this month, and his earnings go beyond 60k/monthly for FARK.com, and we laugh about it...
I surely wouldn't came here to offer you '1gt.cc' for 10k, and I wasn't looking for simpathy, I wanted to show you that I have real needs...
HopStop.com was boadcasted in CNN like a kind of bigshot...

My point is that generally speaking, anything other than .com, .net, etc will require branding to attain the top position.. I'm not against the ccTLD domains by far and have owned a few myself. I currently own several .AT domains (cellularphone.at being one of them) and will acquire ccTLD domains if the keywords are good (have owned golfclub.cc, for example) knowing that if developed, they will need branding for any real value.

By the way, this is a hobby with me too.. I prefer to develop but seldom actually get around to it!

I think the thing you fail to realize is that most of your domains are in violation of Trademarks...

all your university domains, violate the rights of those specific universities.

They're basically worthless because at any point you could get a C&D and you'd have no choice but to hand it over, because they are obvious infringements. Plus they are horrible extensions. And you can say whatever you like about the value of other extensions, but like dgridley said, any site you see at the top of the search lists with other extensions has had a lot of development and alot of branding done.

I wish you luck with the whole marriage thing, because I recently got married as well, all I'm saying is that you should do alot more research before investing any more money into this stuff.

There isn't. As stated above, some extensions just do better than others. And remember that the Internet is limited in that ppl can learn of a new song from Yahoo Music easily but most ppl don't learn of new domain extensions and have no interest in checking. I've known a woman who had a hiatus from the net for a year or two... I mentioned I owned a .ws and she said to me, "what's that?" It's hard for ppl to remember, let's say, domain.at if they've never heard of .at in their life.

A lot of ppl will tell you keyword domains are valuable, no matter the extension. That IMO is a misconception even PROFESSIONS have. It depends on the saturation of the keyword... sex.ac will never, EVER become the next .com -- the keyword is too saturated to do well with.

Add TM issues and your lot isn't realistically worth $5 each.

Good luck with the baby and congrads on your marriage. If I were you, I'd sell these for about $10 and move on -- when the baby comes, you'll have more important things to worry about

Those domains are not worth much at all, matter of fact I would not pay reg-fee for most of them, to give you an idea check the price of these domains out: http://www.namepros.com/domains-for-sale-fixed-price/241134-4-20-crazy-madness-sale-premium.html and there are some really good OTV and short names there, as you can see your expectation is out of this world.

The extensions kill them, no matter the TM. Sorry to tell ya that.

And I was wheelchair-bound and am now 100% deaf. No one's "killing my dreams" and no one is killing yours But if you see a lot of value when there's little, well..

But the cliche -- a domain is worth whatever ppl would pay for it. yjtyjh-fcgnxgh45vgry5-ny.ws would sell for $1,000,000 if you found a rich buyer who wanted it.

I`m really sorry to say that, but they don`t worth even reg fee.
Domaining is like investments in Lands. You may buy land at center of city paying milions/bilions for it and earn another milions/bilions selling it, or building on them. You may also buy at suburbs or near city, or at village paying for it less but also earning not so much like at first option...

But .fm .io .la is like investing in desert. Maybe good only if Your customer is bedouin...

No value in those domains, unless you have traffic. But the one's I visited were parked at idotz and a under construction site (hosted at yahoo). So you have no revenue generating from them or proof of revenue, making them even harder to sell.
