What should you do if you see someone hijacked your name?

Who should I contact first? My registrar, FBI or what?

Registrar first. They might be persuaded to 'lock' your domain so it can't be transferred out (assuming it hasn't yet) to an uncooperative registrar.

I had this happen with a godaddy name and they said there was nothing they could do. I never could find anyone to help me. Good Luck.

You mean you didn't pay for the renewal fees and it dropped and someone snapped it up?

What everyone is asking here is to relate, in detail, how you
discovered your domain was "hijacked".

I put the word hijacked in quotation marks because it may
turn out differently, depending on your circumstances.

But first things first, contact your registrar & provide details
as to how you discovered your domain was "hijacked".

A couple of questions:
1. Did you find the domain name under a name other than
yours?
2. Are the registration date (date created & expires) more
recent?

No. 2 is actually more crucial because if the creation date
is more recent, say, a few days or few weeks ago, chances
are the domain was released & someone scooped it.

Again, please provide details so we can better advise you.
If need be, just number them each so we can better read
& understand.

Uh oh, this is definitely bad. No doubt you must notify your
registrar about this.

From there, they should be able to tell you how the WHOIS details
got changed. But it sounds like the hacker somehow got your
login details.

Via the email on record, perhaps? Who's the registrar?

Then contact your registrar
They will ask you the historical login details of your account ( ie. passwords you have used, ip range you use to login your account, credit card details + what else you know)
Be quick
