I bought a domain on Godaddy last week, and I've just come to realise that it's up on Flippa and Sedo. It might be elsewhere too, but what can I do? I've contacted Flippa and Sedo, as well as the person who listed the domain on Flippa, but yet to have a response from anybody. This is pretty worrying ..

It's most likely errant listings from the previous owner of the domain and these marketplaces haven't removed it yet.
Just notify them and they should remove the listing once you provide them with proof of ownership(like a screenshot of your domain from dashboard).

Yeah I imagined so. The seller doesn't have great professionalism if he/she leaves the domain up a full week after like that. I did contact Sedo and Flippa yesterday, but it was Sunday so I guess I will wait and see what happens today, thanks!

While it'll be nice if sellers could remove their dropped domains from their a/c's in a timely manner, i believe it to be the registrar's responsibility to maintain and keep their marketplace inventory up-to-date, making things easier for both buyers and new owners.

The last i remember, Sedo automatically removes domains from their mrktplace on the day of drop, so in instances where the domains are auctioned off and not allowed to drop, it's on the new owner to have these listings removed by placing a request.
Marketplaces like Uniregistry,Afternic and most likely Flippa remove old listings only on request.

And yes, the listings should be removed soon.
