Hi guys,

As I commented in my previous post, I bought DomainTrader and I'm giving it a new look, my style is minimalist, I think I'm doing a good job.

Now, I have two very powerful domains to exploit my portfolio, the first is nameflipping.com and the other is hugeweb.com, with which would you exploit it? hugeweb can capture traffic from hugedomains, but would it look good ??

I try to leave a picture of what I am doing:

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
I own the developer script version of "Domain Trader". it's running at gotbrands/ com

I'm not using all the features, but i had some custom work done. I'm not a developer so I'm planning to maybe close the site. But when that happens I'll still have the license..worth close to 2k. If interested...let me know. I

I would only use it if the script gets a new owner who can make everything modern and add blogging capability and more. This may be just happen. So just keeping an eye out for now.

I am developing a framework that works with DomainTrader, this is a preliminary version of the product that we are going to launch later this year.

I am a Microsoft MVP specialist in Office365 and specifically in Sharepoint, so I also have experience in developing CMS in the business model.

I think the same, try to use wordpress is crazy, I've been seeing what there is in the market and it really is unfortunate.

In my blog you can see some images of what I am doing:

https://www.davickpro.com/testing-a-minimalist-style-for-my-websites.html

The first image is Domain Trader as the Office365 theme.

In principle I was in talks to buy the script and continue with the forward, but DomainTrader is developed in Smarty and has become obsolete.

I am creating this new CMS with Microsoft ideology in a Modern Market Place and spec for Domain Trading Professionals.

At the moment I can only help those with domaintrader to migrate to the new version (unofficial) with php 7.3 support and all updated libraries.

The developer has abandoned that project, all the updates were done by my team, I am not authorized to sell domaintrader, only to update it.

You can contact me on my blog: https://www.davickpro.com or all social networks @davickpro

Greetings to all!

I may need help to update... but wonder if it's even worth it.

Do you actually know how to use the parking feature. I have the software running on my site.. But do i park a random domain with it? practically.

I believe that until there is no other solution in the market it is worth it, the parking function is very good, you use it with addon domains of cpanel.

All the scripts that I have seen except for a few are very poorly designed or abandoned.

continue working with domaintrader, also has integration with escrow.com which is very important.

Using cpanel's addon domain functionality is an overkill if you are simply parking domains. And also very time consuming if you are doing it for hundreds or thousands of domains. Based on the parked page screenshots on the developer's website, it does not look like you will be making anything higher than parking at a mainstream parking service. Probably the reverse.

I'm curious to hear what actual features people want and what they feel is currently lacking in other scripts out there.

Also, are you looking for a personal domain portfolio script where it is just you listing domains, or do you want to run an open marketplace where others list their domains too?

Hi @dncafe

The project is a service so that with a monthly fee you can have your own domain market, in addition to having an internal market for service members.

Thanks for your reply @TCK

What he says is true in some cases,

But I would not recommend that option to my clients and I'll explain why:

I recommend the Addon domain because it keeps the domain header to whom you are doing the parking, this is very important because I always offer my clients parking with SSL, if you are selling a domain and you want to monetize your parking (logically) you must do it without damage the reputation of the domain.

Cpanel is compatible with Lets Encrypt so now you can generate as many SSL as you want, also with the ssh tool of cpanel you can import all your addon domains with a clic from a CSV or XML.

When you say about loading the server, I do not know if you are thinking about making a web page by domain, for example within the parking theme of domain trader I do the following:

Supporting me in the header thanks to the addon domain I create three variables (example): $domainname, $domaindesc and $domainprice that allows me with a single page to show the domain that the user for which the user arrived.

It's the same if you have 1 million domains, you only need 1 page with three variables an a beautiful theme , but you must activate the addon domain.

I have another good news, there is a function called AutoSSL, it allows you to automatically generate ssl certificates for your addons :) so you have a very cheap, safe and fast parking.

I have spend a ton of money over the last 2 years on upgrading my website. And I'm still not happy with it :( But it would be an impossible task to try to import it into a shell like Domain Trader.

When your portfolio is large, its very important to have a way to sync the listing among different platforms up to date efficiently. You will not want to do it manually.

I can't find any solutions and I ended up created my own software for import / syncing purpose. :xf.cool:
